During my time at Sky I took part in creative and proactive briefs.
Here are some of the projects I’ve worked on.
Client: Sky Creative
National Inclusion Week campaign
This creative brief was to celebrate National Inclusion Week by sharing stories from the team via the Sky Creative podcast. The concept behind this internal campaign was driven by the idea of an album - having a collection in this case of stories and the fact that
the podcast is on Spotify. I merged the two so that the audience understands where to go and visually what it is about.
Mental Health Team proactive work
I’ve been part of the mental health initiative at Sky Creative as I’m passionate about supporting people and breaking stigmas. We have a team of designers where we work on creatively communicating topics and events with emails, posters, videos, and more. Here are some of the projects I was involved in.
Disruptive DM proactive concept 1
This creative brief was to create disruptive DMs that evoke buzz and awareness of Sky. My first concept was driven by the premiere of Minions: The Rise of Gru on Sky Cinema. Combining the theme of team work plus the new edition of you (the customer). I brought the idea to together using nesting dolls as it helps convey the message of together as one.
Disruptive DM proactive concept 2
Working with a copywriter for the second concept it was driven by the launch of David Attenborough’s Secret World of Sounds programme on Sky Nature. We wanted the audience to experience the sounds via
a QR code and onomatopoeia typography. As well as that combining the YouTube trending challenge of ‘what’s in the box’ where you guess what is inside using your hands only and without looking. The animals would be printed on different paper textures to add another layer to the experience.
Pride party 2023
proactive concept
To celebrate the Pride party last year they were looking for a new identity. My concept was driven by my research and I found the 2023 Pride edition of DC Comics. I wanted to continue the superhero verse with our Sky superheroes version.
Campus map proactive concept
Looking to refresh the existing campus map injecting it with fun, secret tips and insider knowledge. My concept was inspired by the designer, Manuel Bortoletti whose known for their isometric style
and I combined this with emojis. I did this because I wanted to create a real life world from the illustration style and to help find things easily I used emojis for familiarity.
Sky Finance
Summer Party
This creative brief was to advertise the Sky Finance Summer Party for the team and theme was a fun fair. This was the chosen concept and the idea behind it was to showcase all the food and activities on offer. Inspired by letterpress designs I went for a typographic response to help pin out important words.
